TBCH IRC Network Policies
-----TBCH vHost Policy:
All vHosts are free!
Rules:
1. Any vHost with a domain must be registered by you or you will need to prove you are authorized to use it.
2. vHosts may not contain hosts to other IRC Servers.
3. vHosts may not be used to evade bans.
4. vHosts may not make you appear as someone you are not, such as a network admin, government official, etc.
5. If you post a link on your blog you will get blog.supporter.thebestcomputerhelp.com as your vhost.
6. If you donate you will get "*.supporter.thebestcomputerhelp.com", where * is the level you donated at.
7. If the vHost is not a valid/registered domain that you own, it must end in ".vHost".
8. You must have been a registered user on our network for 1 month.
9. We have the right to refuse/remove any vHost!
10. vHosts are unchangeable for up to 3 months after getting the vHost.
Donation vHost levels (PayPal only. It's not up either! xD):
$5-$15 = Bronze
$16-$25 = Iron
$26-$50 = Aluminum
$51-$75 = Gold
$76-$100 = Plutonium
$101+ = Platinum

Sponsor types:
Level 1 sponsor includes a 190x80 pixel ad for $10/mo. (This ad will be added to a rotating ad space on our site)
Level 2 sponsor includes a 490x80 pixel ad for $25/mo. (This ad will remain permanent on one topic of your choosing)
A level 2 sponsor will receive the vHost "advanced.sponsor.thebestcomputerhelp.com", while Level one still receives the vHost "sponsor.thebestcomputerhelp.com".
Consequences:
First-time abuse: vHost ability taken for three days.
Second-time abuse: vHost ability taken for 1 month.
Third-time abuse: Permanent vHost ability removal.
Note: Operators choose what a "consequence" is; So be GOOD! (Consequences for vHosts are only related to vHost abuse; Operators can't remove a vHost for spamming a channel, etc.)
-----TBCH Linking Policy:
If you're interested in linking with us, please read the following policy.
Hardware:
An Intel processor of at least 600 mhz.
256MB of RAM or higher.
1GB Hard Drive space usable by our IRCd.
3mbit down/1mbit up internet connection.
Must have an average of 1 month of uninterrupted service or the link will be terminated at will.
You must have a static IP address.
Operating system:
Ubuntu 8.04 or above required
Software:
Fully updated OpenSSL libraries (sudo apt-get install -y libssl-dev).
Fully updated zlib (sudo apt-get install -y zlibc).
Install the latest OpenSSH package (sudo apt-get install -y openssh-server).
The machine is to be a dedicated IRC server ONLY!!!
Policy:
1. All operators will have an O:Line on the server.
2. We would like to be able to use Remote Desktop (vnc) to access the server.
3. When you link, you are going under us. We will not merge with anyone & take their name.
4. Servers must use the TBCH name.
5. All fees for the server are the server administrator's responsibility. We will NOT pay for the server fees.
6. There will be a 7-day test period that test the server's overall lag/performance/reliability. After this period, the server will be added to the "irc." roundrobin.
Note: Server administrators are not to become automatic IRCops, & you most likely will not become one.
